This erasure was inspired by my collage, entitled “Ellephant”. I visited the Poetry foundation’s website and searched for poems connected to the key-word elephant, chose the one I liked and that I felt best fit with the collage itself, and then produced the erasure piece entitled “The Ellephant”, born of Marianne Moore’s “Black Earth”.
